Happy New Year! I'm posting this early on New Year's Eve, before I get started with the evening's festivities, which will more than likely include sleeping in late on Tuesday. I hope you also have something fun planned, or a quiet, relaxing night to look forward to, whatever your mood.
I thought back on 2012, and came up with a few observations and objectives for the next year.
1.Though I'm pleased with what I've done, I would like to have written more and will do so in 2013.
2. I'm going to continue to combine my passions, strong women, magic, and interesting sex, into my stories.
3. I'm going to develop better writing habits and spend more time with my focus on writing actual books, and less on social media. I love roaming around Facebook, Twitter, and other authors' blogs, but find they are taking up too much valuable writing time.
4. I'm also going to cut back on blog hops and other contests. I thoroughly enjoy reading the comments and interacting with visitors, so I know I won't eliminate them entirely, but these events are time consuming, and I can't participate in them all. *sigh* Never fear, I will maintain a presence in the virtual world, I just plan to make the effort I spend there more productive.
That being said, join me on January 2nd for *ha-ha* a blog hop. Oh, I couldn't resist starting off the year with one!
I've enjoyed your company in 2012; here's to a fabulous 2013!
Whoops, did I miss Tuesday? Between the holidays, a busy work schedule, a little extra fun, and my honey being home and annoying me to distraction, the days have got away from me. One more holiday to go, then we can get back to normal. Much as I enjoy the festivities this time of year, I miss my regular routine.
Here are some pictures I took one day at a biker/pirate bar. Love their decorating style! Enjoy these, and have a fabulous New Year's Eve!
I love the name of this event, Blissemas. I wanted to write about something that gives me bliss, but there are so many things to choose from. I finally decided to share the latest addition to my family, Lola the cat. My wonderful companion of nineteen years went over the Rainbow Bridge in October and a little piece of my heart went with him. I mourned for my furry friend and trudged through my days, missing him terribly.
Then, circumstances introduced me to Lola. I love cats, and knew I would eventually get another, but I wasn't quite done grieving for Sammy and didn't feel right bringing another feline into my house to replace him. I wanted to wait a bit longer, but Lola didn't have any more time. I searched my heart, and came to the conclusion, I could still be sad and cherish the memory of one love, but open my heart to another.
Lola turned out to be the perfect cat for us. She likes scratches, chin and belly rubs, and cuddling next to my honey and I, but she is also happy hunting lizards on the screen porch (yes, she brings them inside to play with, and I perform lizard rescue on a regular basis) and watching the world from there. She's adapted to my crazy schedule, and rolls with it. Already, I'm a sucker for her big sweet eyes and pitiful meows, and feed her treats far too often.
Though I still cry for my departed friend, I'm slowly falling in love with Lola. She is my Christmas bliss, and I give thanks every day for her.
For another bit of bliss, visit this blog post to see one way we celebrate Christmas in the United States. A toy run is an event where a group of motorcycles follow a route in a sort of parade, and collect toys to give to various agencies to distribute among needy children in our area. It's big fun, and a great cause. http://www.naomibellina.com/1/post/2012/12/tuesday-treat-motorcycle-toy-run.html
Now for the really cool part. You could win the Blissemas Kindle Fire! Wouldn't that be a nice little treat, just for you? I know you've been super good this year, and deserve one. Simply leave a comment on this blog and all the others listed at blissemas.co.uk and for each comment you'll win an entry into the draw. Please note only one comment per person per blog will be counted. Please check out http://blissemas.co.uk for terms and conditions. Make sure to include your email address in your comment. Good luck!
How about slightly naughty excerpt from my latest book, Out of the Ordinary? Here you go, enjoy! Thank you for reading, and have a very, merry Blissemas.
He continued to trail his finger over her stomach then brushed it lightly across her thigh, stroked her calf and foot, before slowly climbing back up her leg. Burning desire roared through her, and she couldn't hold back any longer. She arched her hips, thrusting her pelvis at him, desperate for his touch at her core.
“Don’t worry, I’m getting there. I want a taste of you first.”
When he put his mouth on her thigh, Star thought she would fly off the bed. Her skin had burned as his finger was caressing it, now her entire body sizzled. She panted and writhed as he licked his way up her leg, electric currents flowing from her head to her toes. He reached her clit and flicked his tongue along the edge—she grabbed his hair and pulled his head up.
“What are you doing to me? Is this some kind of trick?”
“What do you mean? Doesn't this feel good?”
“Hell yes, it feels good, it feels better than good. Like I’m about to catch on fire and go up in flames. I've never had this happen to me. And before you get that grin on your face, I don’t believe it’s just because you’re so good in bed. What’s going on?”
“I would have to say we have wonderful chemistry together, Star. I’m magic, and I am so good in bed, but there’s some kind of special attraction between us. Don’t say you haven’t felt it. Now, can I go back to what I was doing?”
Star squirmed with pleasure as Adam resumed his activity. Whatever caused her body to react to him like this became more intense. He was right, there was something between them, something powerful and intoxicating. She forgot all about the quick and simple plan and wanted this to go on forever. Bolts of bliss danced in her brain and waves of pleasure ran through her body, consuming her.
Adam rolled her onto her stomach and she took a sharp breath and pulled the sheet close to her body.
“Roven, what are you doing here? You’re supposed to be over by the door.”
“I-I can’t help it. You’re so beautiful. I've never seen a naked human female. Is your skin as soft as it looks?”
The pixie’s pupils were huge and Star noticed a bulge in his pants. He was obviously highly aroused, and to her surprise, this made her ever more excited, which she wouldn't have thought possible. She looked at Adam—who had momentarily stopped his activities—and raised a questioning eyebrow at him. He smiled.
“If it makes you happy,” he said, reading her thoughts. “But only a quick touch. I want her to myself.”
Roven stepped closer to the bed and tentatively put his hand on Star’s calf. He ran it up her leg and moaned.
“So soft and warm,” he murmured and, reaching her butt, squeezed tentatively.
Another burst of heat ran through her body. Roven’s hand was different from Adam’s. It was smaller and had a smoother texture. He trembled slightly and she could sense his excitement. She spread her legs, encouraging him to explore further. Slickness from her drenched pussy and Adam’s mouth coated her thighs and her lips throbbed. Roven slid his fingers between her lips and gasped.
“Oh, sweet goddess, it’s so wet! Are you all right? Are you bleeding? Are you hurt?”
“No I’m not hurt, I’m turned on. What, don’t your women get wet?”
“Not like this, they just get a little moist. Doesn't his sex organ slide out?”
“Roven.” Adam glared, and Star suppressed a grin, certain he regretted inviting the other man to join them.
“Sit there, lean against the headboard. Let me show you what I can do with my mouth besides giggle,” Star said.
Adam eagerly scooted to the head of the bed and while Roven fondled her, she rose up to her elbows and wrapped her mouth around Adam’s cock. It was hard as a railroad spike, and the thought of that rod ramming into her pussy sent a fresh burst of juice between her legs. Star had never been overly fond of oral sex but found the sensation of pleasuring Adam while being pleasured by Roven exquisite. She ran her lips up and down his shaft and teased the head with her tongue, lightly flicking the sensitive spot on the underside. Adam groaned and shuddered. Knowing what bliss she was giving him intensified her own. Even without Roven’s attention, she was drowning in ecstasy.
She lifted her hips to allow Roven greater access to her pussy. He now had two fingers inside her, and his thumb found her clit and stroked it first gently, then with more pressure as she rolled and thrust her hips. Listening to both men breathe hard and moan, knowing they both desired her, melted her insecurities away. All she could think about was the heat coursing through her body and the passion building in her soul. She felt something else she didn't normally experience with a man—powerful. Her little imperfect body made two very sexy men incredibly aroused. Roven was breathing so hard she feared he would hyperventilate, and Adam moaned and trembled with every slide of her mouth up and down his cock.

Me? Since I live in the sub-tropics, warm weather doesn't tickle my fancy this time of year, so I would love to be sitting in a hot tub with my honey, snowflakes melting a few inches above our heads, and looking out at a mountain view. I'd like a bottle of mulled wine and a hot fire waiting for me inside our cozy cabin, a funny movie to watch, and a few days just to take it easy. Ahhhh!

Today I'm piggybacking on another blogger. Between edits on book two, promoting book one, writing book three, holiday events, and a busy work schedule, Tuesday snuck up on me. Not that I'm complaining; these are all wonderful problems to have, and I'm glad my life is so busy and productive right now.
Enjoy this great post by Kim Anami called Talking and F**king, about a man who wants to talk during sex, to keep his mind focused.
I love Owning Pink, the site that features this blog. Pop in now and then and check it out.
A great day for a ride
Today's treat will be pictures from a motorcycle toy run I attended on Sunday. We had a blast, but it put me behind with my edits, writing, and promotion (there is sooo much going on right now!), so I hope you find the pictures worth a thousand words. If only I could convince my editor of that!
Make sure you take some time to enjoy the fun events this holiday season, even if it makes you crazy-behind with your other stuff. Most always, it's worth it.
Help Zenobia Renquist celebrate her birthday this month, and enter to win a $50 Gift Certificate to Amazon, B&N, or All Romance eBooks (winner's choice) or $10 Gift Certificate to ChangelingPress.com
The first 63 people to enter the contest will receive a free ebook. Yup, a free ebook just for entering. Note: This is a Q&A contest. Answers can be found in the excerpts provided in the PDF. Visit her website for directions, and have fun with this contest!
My winner is Laurie G. Thanks so much for the great comments, and I hope everyone has a great holiday season, however you love to celebrate it.
Okay, it's serious now. December is here. No putting off those holiday preparations any longer. Do you have your tree up and decorated? Your gift list started? Cards sent? Me neither! I've tried to keep Christmas 'lite' and stress-free the past few years, and find I enjoy it more that way.
My tree is up, and will be decorated slowly. Some things won't get put on, and that's okay. I don't send cards anymore, and I applaud those who do. That will be something to look forward to doing when I retire. Gifts? I buy a few, but have finally talked my adult siblings into not exchanging gift cards. My honey and I buy each other small items, but would rather have a weekend away as a treat.
However you celebrate, I hope it's wonderful for you! Enjoy this hop, and I hope you win some goodies just for you, or to share. Leave me a comment below, and be entered to win either an Ebook from my back list (that's everything except Out of the Ordinary), or, for US residents only, a goodie bag with home made one-of-a-kind bookmarks and other hand-crafted items.
Thanks to our hosts, Day Dreaming Book Reviews, My Secret Romance, and The Book Tart for putting on this Merry Ménage blog hop. Click on another name when you're done, and happy hopping!
