A husband and wife are the leads in this musical powerhouse. Susan Tedeshi and Derek Trucks combined their individual bands in 2010 to form Tedeschi Trucks Band. This is not my favorite style of music but my honey frothed at the mouth when he found out they were coming to town. I did my usual magic and got us kick-ass near-the-stage seats and we totally enjoyed the show. Him more than me, but even though the tunes don't thrill me that much, I always appreciate superb skill and every single member of this eleven-piece band rocks big time, from the horn section, to the keyboard and flute player, to the bass guitar and back-up singers. And come on, how can you not love two drummers?
The big question, how do they keep the love alive spending so much time together? They've been married since 2001 and when they're touring and recording, you know they see each other a lot. A whole lot. I hope many years from now, they're still in love and making beautiful music together.
