The day my spreadsheet had a meltdown

There I was, working on my beautifully organized color-coded Agent Search spreadsheet (it's a work of art!) and suddenly I notice that something's not right. The lines aren't lining up with the correct text. Shit. Now I'm not sure which box of info goes with which agent. If you've ever worked with Excel spreadsheets (which I love, BTW) you know that horrible feeling when you discover it's a jumbled mess because the lines jumped around. I have been doing sooooo good for several months with this worksheet and I have no idea how I mangled it. *sigh*

I've been working hard for what seems like forever and not only am I getting rejections and no requests, now I have to deal with a clerical error. And it's totally my fault! I think. I'll look to see if Mercury is in retrograde or some other planetary disruption has occurred. But whatever happened, I have to fix it.

After far too long spent researching websites and agent names I managed to get the spreadsheet back to some sort of order. The colors are still off and some of the info I added about each agent I just deleted since I wasn't sure which line it belonged on. Discouraging, but like I always say, if it was easy everyone would do it.

Though it seems like everyone is! Several agents have posted that they get hundreds of submissions when they open. I guess we all have a story to tell. I just hope someone notices my awesome story soon. Onward!
