How not to watch a concert

This. This is how not to watch a concert. With your phone in the air, tapping buttons, Facebooking your friends. Open your eyes and your soul and and see and feel the musicians play. If your're lucky enough to be close to the stage, watch the singer as he sweats out the high notes, the guitar player as he slides his fingers up and down the strings, the drummer as he pounds out a rhythm. Get into the music and let it roll through you without worrying about zooming your video in and out. Don't think about how cool it's going to be to post this to You Tube tomorrow; relax and enjoy the show. 

I had the immense pleasure of watching Gary Mullen & The Works from row A and let me tell you, they ROCK! The only thing I paid attention to was making sure I didn't spill my drink while I danced. If you have the good fortune to have this Queen tribute band come to your town, go see them. And leave your cell phone in your purse.
