My friend shared some delicious lychee fruits with me. Who first looked at this odd looking fruit and said, Wow, I bet there is something tasty inside, let's crack one open and find out. Many people are like that, strange and prickly on the outside, surprisingly good on the inside.

I'm finally getting settled into my new office and I decided to treat myself to a piece of art. There are so many talented artists in the area! Our wonderful libraries display artwork by local painters, which is a great place for me to view and browse as I spend a lot of time at the library. The painting I purchased is called Long Journey, and when I saw it, I knew it was perfect...it spoke to me.  It's hanging in a prominet spot in my massage treatment room, and it reminds me of something very important; life is a continuing journey.

I've been feeling a bit like I took a step backwards, moving to a smaller space that I share with others. Shouldn't I be in my own place by now, making oodles of money doing massage? But then I stop and remember that I am pursuing a writing career, with the intent to do less massage and more writing. I can't do everything, and sometimes sacrifices must be made in one area to reap rewards in another. So, this place I am now is just another stop along the way of my Long Journey, and I know it's the perfect spot for me to occupy at this time to continue to follow my dreams.

On this wonderful journey of life, I rmember to enjoy every step of the way and keep in mind that, like an orgasm, getting there is half the fun!

Here I am trying to get my reluctant cat to pose with me. I belong to a group that does volunteer work with cats, and once a year I dress up like one and help out at our fundraising dinner and silent auction. What a ham I am! I love dressing up. It's a shame Halloween only comes once a year. In the meantime, I try to find other occaisons to let my inner...whatever come out to play. We should all keep our face paints and fun clothing out and indulge in dress-up more often!
