My winner is Laurie G. Thanks so much for the great comments, and I hope everyone has a great holiday season, however you love to celebrate it.

Okay, it's serious now. December is here. No putting off those holiday preparations any longer. Do you have your tree up and decorated? Your gift list started? Cards sent? Me neither! I've tried to keep Christmas 'lite' and stress-free the past few years, and find I enjoy it more that way.

My tree is up, and will be decorated slowly. Some things won't get put on, and that's okay. I don't send cards anymore, and I applaud those who do. That will be something to look forward to doing when I retire. Gifts? I buy a few, but have finally talked my adult siblings into not exchanging gift cards. My honey and I buy each other small items, but would rather have a weekend away as a treat.

Handcrafted gifts are the best kind of gifts to receive. That means that someone took the time to make something especially for the receiver. It's sad to say that I don't know too many people who do that anymore.

We have really toned down the gift giving in my family, with 7 brother and sisters, plus their kids, it was getting out of hand. So now we pick one name from a hat ;)

Just put my tree up today. I put it up and put on lights then let my niece decorate it how she wanted. She did a wonderful job.

I'm actually ahead this year! The tree is up and decorated, stockigs set up, lists made, visits to Santa done, house is decorated, already have the ham and food for x-mas day, all I have to do now are the cut-out cookies with the kids :) Thanks for the giveaway! Happy Holidays!
