Writing Scary Scenes by Rayne Hall
My rating: 5 of 5 stars In Writing Scary Scenes, Rayne Hall draws from her vast experience, and shares tips and pointers for anyone who wants to write better fiction. You don't have to write horror or suspense novels to receive benefit from this book. Most authors will have some type of scary scene to write, and this is the perfect place to find guidelines. Ms. Hall's information is clear, concise and to the point. She gives solid, creative examples in every chapter. I used her tips on doors and doorways immediately for a piece I'm working on. This book will be part of my reference files, and I'm sure I'll refer to it often. View all my reviews
